The Joyful Learning Culture Framework brings together four connected areas that shape everyday experiences. Use the questions below as a starting point for conversation, reflection and change.
There are no right or wrong answers. The aim is to get curious about what it feels like to learn and work in your organisation, and where putting joy at the centre could make a difference.

Do we genuinely understand children's experiences?
Do children have meaningful opportunities to influence their environment?
Are we measuring what matters to them, as well as what matters to adults?

What does it feel like to be an adult here?
How does this shape the experience of children and young people?
Do our everyday interactions reflect the values we say we hold?
Do staff feel valued, supported and able to do their best work?
Do we continually develop practice and invest time in the right training?

What does it feel like to move through a typical day here?
Do our routines make it easier for children and young people to feel safe, connected and ready to learn?
Does our physical environment support different needs, interests and ways of learning?
Do our systems and routines serve the people within them, rather than simply maintaining the status quo?
